General nature of phenorhythms and peculiarities of phenophases of introduced lilacs, subject to their geographic origin and hydrothermal conditions, have been determined. Phenological development of most species includes all phenophases of vegetative and generative stages. Less stable species change dates and duration of phenophases, and reduce generative phases. Get PDF
Migration processes management is an important public administration element. Migration affects many aspects of society — economics, public safety, and culture. Without a competent migration policy, a conflict between residents and migrants is inevitable in society. The problem of the relationship between migration flows and the level of socio-economic development of territories is considered herein. The data from the RIA Rating Agency and the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia are used in this study. The main research method is the correlation-regression analysis. As part of the study, the hypothesis that migration flows tend to the regions that are strong in terms of socioeconomic status has not been confirmed

FEATURES OF IMMUNOCOMPETENT CELLS IN THE PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA AT PRIMARY DIAGNOSIS

Some basic parameters of immune profile have been investigated in 140 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). There was shown that the cohort of CLL patients is heterogeneous for their immune profile as early as at primary diagnosis stage, showing sufficient differences in the numbers of immunocompetent cells in peripheral blood. In most cases, the interpretation of appropriate quantitative characteristics is quite difficult, if based on the conventional criteria. The numbers of activated T-lymphocytes and NK-cells were proven to be the most informative parameters of cellular immunity in this cohort. Progression of leukemic events shows a close association with only a single parameter under study, i.e., CD4+/CD8+ cell ratio

An amperometric biosensor based on laccase immobilized in polymer matrices for determining phenolic compounds

    Get PDF
An amperometric enzyme electrode based on laccase for determining phenolic compounds is proposed. The following three types of polymer materials were used for enzyme immobilization on the surface of a glassy-carbon electrode: positively charged cetyl ethyl poly (ethyleneimine) (CEPEI) and negatively charged commercial Nafion and Eastman AQ 29D polymers. The advantages and disadvantages of each of the above polymers for enzyme immobilization are discussed. The detection limits of the model phenolic compounds hydroquinone and pyrocatechol in a buffer solution on laccase immobilization in a Nation membrane were 3.5 x 10(-8) and 5.0 x 10(-8) M, respectively, at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. Electrodes with laccase immobilized in Nation and Eastman AQ 29D membranes exhibited the shortest response time. The operating stability and the stability in storage can be significantly improved by the additional incorporation of gelatin in the polymer matrices. Gelatin prevents enzyme inactivation as a result of enzyme modification by the free-radical oxidation products of phenolic compounds

© the authors. The urgency of the problem studied in the paper is conditioned by the fact that stable functioning and development of economic entities, sectors of the economy, regions and the country cannot be carried out without investments. In the modern economy of the Russian Federation, whose conditions of existence can be called non-stationary, one of the problems is attracting investment resources into economic activity and overcoming the conditions for slowing and stopping the growth of the country's economy caused by external unfavorable economic circumstances. In connection with the foregoing, the policy of attracting and managing investments in the regions of the Russian Federation, with a view to ensuring conditions for overcoming the crisis phenomena and resuming the economic growth of the country and its subjects is of particular interest. The intensification of the state investment policy is a core prerequisite for the transition of the economy to sustainable growth. However, in economic market conditions the state is not able to solve this problem to the full. Therefore, the process of activating investment policy at the regional level is becoming topical. The purpose of the paper is to study the management and implementation of investment policy in the region on the example of the Republic of Tatarstan, the analysis and assessment of the investment environment's state. The leading method to research this problem is the statistical one, which is a method of quantitative analysis of a set of homogeneous facts that determine in the aggregate the transition of quantitative changes to qualitative ones. The paper presents the results of assessing the socio-economic development of the region, analyzes the indicators that allow characterizing the investment environment's state. The paper also presents the strategic priorities of the region's investment activities, analyzes the opportunities for their implementation in conditions of non-stationary state, and makes sound conclusions about the need to activate regional investment policies. The materials of the paper are of practical value for specialists dealing with the implementation of the investment policy of the region. © Authors. Introduction. Mixed urinary incontinence is believed to be more difficult to treat than stress urinary incontinence and overactive bladder (OAB) alone. However, the mixed form occurs in one in three women with complaints of incontinence. Therefore, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the transobturator suburethral sling in patients with a mixed form of urinary incontinence is a topical issue.Objective. To evaluate the efficacy of the transobturator suburethral sling in patients with mixed urinary incontinence.Materials and methods. The cohort study enrolled 106 patients with a mixed form of urinary incontinence. Validated questionnaires (Overactive bladder questionnaire/OABq, Urinary Distress Inventory, Short Form/UDI-6) were used to assess subjective data. Secondary endpoint – objective data of comprehensive urodynamic study 2 – 12 months after transobturator suburethral sling implantation: presence of phase, terminal, constrictor-induced detrusor overactivity (DOA).Results. According to the preoperative evaluation of complaints on validated questionnaires, the mean UDI-6 score was 52.2 ± 16.3 points, OABq was 15.4 ± 5.4 points. After surgery, there was a decrease in the UDI-6 questionnaire scores to 19.4 ± 18.4 scores and OABq to 9.6 ± 4.1 scores, the difference for both of which was statistically significant (p < 0.001). Terminal DOA was sighted in 44 (41.5%) preoperative patients and 33 (31.1%) postoperative patients (p = 0.153). Stress-induced DOA was observed in 27 (25.5%) before and 6 (5.7%) after surgery (p < 0.001), respectively. Seventy-two (67.9%) patients reported satisfaction with the surgery and willingness to recommend it to their friends. For 26 (24.5%) patients, the surgery had no significant effect on quality of life. Eight (7.5%) patients noted a worsening of symptoms after treatment. No effect of sling installation on the course of OAB was found.Conclusion. The placement of a synthetic suburethral sling has improved the quality of life in many patients with a mixed form of urinary incontinence
